Vegan Bliss Balls

Omega 3 rich bliss balls  

This recipe is rich in healthy fats, specifically alpha- linolenic acid which is the precursor for omega 3 fatty acid production. Omega 3 fatty acids are beneficial in supporting skin integrity, reducing dry skin, supporting hormone production, reducing inflammation, reducing musculoskeletal pain, enhancing neuronal function and supporting mental health.

These bliss balls contain walnuts, chia seeds, hemp seeds and flax seeds which are all rich sources of omega 3's. Try out this easy, omega 3 enriched recipe today.

 

Ingredients

 1.5 cups dates

1 cup raw walnuts

1 teaspoon Cinnamon

1/4 cup chia seeds

1/2 cup hemp seeds

1/4 cup flax seeds

4 tablespoons of nut butter - almond, peanut, cashew, hazelnut, tahini, sunflower seed

Shredded Coconut, hemp seeds and cacao powder for coating

 

Method 

Combine all the ingredients (except the coconut and cacao) in a food processor and blend until well combined and smooth. Add in extra dates or an extra tablespoon of nut butter if the mixture is crumbly.

Roll into balls and coat in either nothing, hemp seeds, cacao powder or shredded coconut. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to set. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
